MODFLOW is a widely used software package for modeling flow of ground water. Jim Henley developed a new solver for MODFLOW based on the Hopscotch method. This solver is faster than PCG at equal accuracy for some transient problems. The solver is described in Jim's thesis, and source code is also available.
