Clemson University researchers to help advance 3D printing in partnership with U.S. Army Research Laboratory

Clemson University researchers are receiving funding from the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, known as DEVCOM, Army Research Laboratory (ARL) to create new technology aimed at helping speed up development of new 3D-printed components for future ground vehicles, air platforms, and munitions.

Clemson grants $125,000 to support COVID-19 research

Five teams of researchers have received funding to develop tests and strategies that Clemson University and the community can use to continue fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The projects aim to develop new long-lasting sanitizing solutions, faster diagnostics tests and additional tools to more accurately predict COVID-19 spread and severity, among other solutions.

A partnership for the future: Clemson, U.S. Army to develop next generation of autonomous vehicle tools, prototyping

Automotive autonomy technology is changing economies and global industries – and is also a driving force behind military modernization. Bringing these self-driving vehicles to life on- and off-road requires new concepts and algorithms to be tested expeditiously and cost-effectively – all of which happen through virtual prototyping. This key enabler for autonomy is the focus behind a new $18 million center housed at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) and a research partnership with the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC).
