Clemson’s Development program includes fundraising from individuals, corporations, parents, friends and foundations for major gifts greater than $25,000.
Major gifts fundraising is based on relationship-building and stewardship of these gifts. The ultimate goal is to match the goals and needs of the individuals with the goals and needs of the University.
Major Gifts – focusing on gifts from individuals. Each college/unit has a team of Development Officers working to match donor needs with college/unit needs. Additionally, these are Central Development Officers who represent university-wide needs.
Planned Giving – focusing on estate planning with individuals. This includes: bequests, trusts, insurance and other vehicles to help donors maximize their gift to Clemson.
Donor Services – providing essential stewardship to our donors after their gift/investment. We must demonstrate how a donor’s gift is making a difference for Clemson and our faculty and staff.
Corporate/Foundations – focusing on gift/investments for the corporate sector, as well as corporate/private foundations to Clemson.
