Forest Roads

An Online, Self-Paced Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Forest Roads: Self-Paced program is designed to provide foresters, loggers, landowners and other natural resource professionals with information on how to properly design, construct and maintain all types of forest roads. The program also addresses solutions for crossing streams and other sensitive areas. The participant will be required to watch a video and then complete a short test with a passing grade of 70 or better before advancing to the next segment.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Anyone involved in the timber industry will find many ideas to possibly apply to their operations; this includes consulting foresters, timber buyers, foresters working for investment companies,state and federal foresters, timberland owners or loggers.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

This program has been approved for 6.5 hours, Category 1 credits. Upon successful completion of the program, the participant will be emailed a certificate of completion as well as the completion being automatically reported to SAF. All credits are reported to SAF on a monthly basis.

HOW ONLINE PROGRAMS WORK

Upon completion of the registration process, you will receive within 3 business days a userid and password that provides you access to the online program. You will watch a video and then are required to pass a test with a score of 70 or better before moving to the next lesson. It is recommended that you have high speed internet for the online program.
