Requests for Workplace Accommodations

Employees at an increased risk of experiencing illness due to contracting COVID-19 can request a workplace accommodation.

The Requests for Workplace Accommodations guidance informs faculty, staff and instructors including GTR, GTA, GLA and GRA employees of the prescribed application process. Note: Temporary, short-term work arrangements between a supervisor and an employee may not require a formal request for workplace accommodation.

Facilities Access

To reduce potential health risks to the campus community, all exterior classroom building doors will remain locked. Faculty and instructors will be granted access to their classroom buildings starting August 12. All employees will need their TigerOne card or Mobile ID credentials to gain entry to buildings with card access. Buildings without card access will be unlocked during class instruction times. Interior classrooms and hallways will have the same schedule as the exterior doors except these will be free access and will not require an ID to gain entry.

Employee Assistance Program

Clemson encourages employees to contact the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for assistance with concerns related to the current situation. The EAP has resources available specific to COVID-19. For more information, please visit Clemson’s EAP site.
