Mission

Research:

Projects will focus on developing, evaluating and understanding new flexible packaging materials, structures and packages. Additional research will center on the film, laminate and package production.

The center will provide laboratory experiences in all aspects of converting and flexible packaging for undergraduate and graduate courses in packaging science.

Service:

Service activities will involve preparing films, laminates and packages; filling packages and evaluating them; conducting training and equipment demonstrations; and analyzing and identifying materials and structures.
