Asher won the American Forage and Grassland Council Emerging Scientist Competition on 1/7/13.
Asher presented results from his two year grazing project:
"Effect of grazing legume or grass forages with or without corn supplementation on
animal performance and meat quality of forage-finished beef" which is funded by the USDA-ISE program.
Asher competed against six other graduate students (two of which were finishing their Ph.D).
His graduate committee consists of Susan Duckett, Scott Pratt and Enrique Pavan of INTA in Balcarce Argentina.
The plaque was awarded by Howard Straub of AFGC.
