Methods to Increase Embryonic Survival in Cattle

The advancement of the livestock industries is dependent upon the advancement of managerial techniques, however, it is largely reliant upon genetic progression. Using assisted reproductive technologies (ART), the genetics of males are most efficiently and commonly passed to future generations through the use of artificial insemination (AI). Genetic material from females is limited given the inefficiency and difficulty associated with the use of embryo transfer (ET). This research aims to improve ET efficiency in the cattle industry and will have national impact on other areas of ART which require ET.
