Description of Services:

The availability of the Culinary Research Lab depends on the following commitment:

  • Scheduled department courses and scheduled research by Dr. Condrasky
  • All other use must be reserved in the book located in the Department’s Main Office

Operating Hours:

Monday - Thursday        8:00am - 9:00pm
Friday                           8:00am - 4:30pm

Administrative Fee of 5% will be added to total invoice of on- and off- campus users only.

A Facility rate for courses during normal office hours (8:30am-4:30pm) with faculty member or course graduate teaching assistant (GTA) present

Scheduling:

EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE THE LAB SAFETY ORIENTATION BEFORE THEY CAN USE THE LAB. THE GTA WILL CONDUCT THE ORIENTATION EACH SEMESTER.

On-Campus Users:
On-campus users can reserve the culinary research lab a first come/first serve basis.  EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE THE LAB SAFETY ORIENTATION BEFORE THEY CAN USE THE LAB. THE GTA WILL CONDUCT THE ORIENTATION EACH SEMESTER. Reservation will be made through the main office and the date and time written in the scheduling book.  Reservations must be made a week in advance so that orientation and scheduling of GTA can be completed. 

Off-Campus Users:
Off-campus users can reserve the culinary research lab a first come/first serve basis.  EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE THE LAB SAFETY ORIENTATION BEFORE THEY CAN USE THE LAB. THE GTA WILL CONDUCT THE ORIENTATION EACH SEMESTER. Reservation will be made through the main office and the date and time written in the scheduling book.  Reservations must be made a week in advance so that orientation and scheduling of GTA can be completed. 

Cancellations:
Cancellation notification must be received no later than 24 hours before your reservation. Less than 24 hours, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $60 - $75 (3 hours of the hourly rate).

Sanitation:
Sanitation is to be completed by all who uses the laboratory.  Requirements and procedures are covered during orientation and are available in the lab. 

There will be a cleaning charge of $75 in addition to the daily facility rate for any area that has to be cleaned after use by departmental, on- or off-campus user.
