Research interest:
My research is focused on applied wildlife ecology and conservation, although the results are often of both an applied and basic nature. My current and prior work has emphasized wildlife conservation with emphases in avian ecology, reproductive energetics, foraging ecology, marine ornithology, survey design and methodology, and urban ecology. Current research includes (1) Conservation and physiological ecology of seabirds, (2) Reproductive success of seabirds and shorebirds in relation to predation and environmental factors, (3) Large-scale movement patterns of Bahamian seabirds, (4) Wintering ecology of Canada geese, and (5) reproductive success of Painted Buntings in golf course habitats.
