Profile

Vicky Bertagnolli brings seven years of fire ant research experience, along with hands-on work through the Alabama School IPM Program, the Alabama Pesticide Safety Education Program, and a small private pest control company. This background provided a solid foundation in fire ant management, insect identification, and urban pest management using integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.

With 18 years as a Clemson Extension Consumer Horticulture Agent, Vicky serves clients locally in Aiken County and beyond through Clemson’s Home and Garden Information Center (HGIC). She appears regularly on SCETV’s Making It Grow, travels statewide for speaking engagements, supports the Horticulture Team’s events and marketing efforts, and shares research-based horticulture information with local, state, national, and international audiences.
