MASTER OF AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PLAN OF STUDY

Minimum Graduate Course Hours 30 hrs

Agricultural Education Courses - 12 Credit Hours
Required Courses in Agricultural Education
AG ED 889 - Research in Education
AG ED 821 - Theories and Practices of Adult Educaiton
Statistics - 3-4 Credit Hours
Concentration Area outside of Agricultural Education - 6 Credit Hours
Other Relevant Courses - 9 Credit Hour

*Assistantship candidate will be required to conduct a research project

  • GPA – 3.0 Minimum
  • Program to be completed within six years
  • Written and/or oral exam
  • At least half of courses must be at the 700 level or above
  • GS-2 Form (Approved Plan) due after completing 12 or more hours
  • GS-4 Form (Diploma Order) deadlines – early June, early September, late January (Admission to candidacy)
  • GS-7 Form (Examination Form) due shortly after written/oral exam
  •  



    Graduate School Forms and Deadlines

    GS2 Form (Approved Plan): This form should be submitted following the completion of 12 - 15 hours of coursework. Forms are available in the Agricultural Education Office. The advisor (chairman) will assist the student in completing this form. It must be approved by the other committee members, department head, dean of college, and dean of the graduate school.     GS4 Form (Diploma Order): The advisor will assist the student with this form. It is the student's responsibility to see that the proper deadline is met. (For deadline dates, see the current graduate school catalog.)

    GS7 Form (Examination Form): Following or nearing the completion of coursework, the student must schedule the final exam. The committee members will submit comprehensive questions related to courses completed by the student. The advisor will be responsible for completing and submitting the GS7 Form. It is the student's responsibility to see that the exam is scheduled and completed prior to the deadline. (See the current graduate school catalog for dates.)
