Financial Assistance

The Wildlife Damage Management Working Group and The Wildlife Society offer travel assistance for professionals and students. The program is funded on an annual basis upon approval of the expenditure but the board of the Wildlife Damage Management Working Group (WDMWG). The objective of the program is to provide a travel grant up to $500 to up to ten members of the WDMWG to assist them in offsetting the cost of travel to a professional meeting. It is the intent of the WDMWG that the meeting be related to The Wildlife Society  such as the Annual Conference, Wildlife Damage Management Conference, or similar meeting. Priority for funding will be given to applicants who are presenting papers or playing a substantial role in the meeting. This fund is not to be used to support travel associated with field research or similar activities. Recipients must be members in good standing at the time of application as certififed by the current Treasurer of the Wildilfe Damage Management Working Group.

Application Process:

In order to apply for the travel grant, please complete the application by January 25, 2013. Award notification will be made by February 15, 2013.
