Gene Sleuthing
In this workshop, students will use computers to "mine" the genomes of humans and other organisms. The WWW will be accessed to locate publicly available genomic databases to find genes in various DNA sequences. Comparisons will then be made to determine similarities/differences among genomes and examine molecular genetic evolution.
