Educational opportunities available through the SCDNALC include the following:
One-day laboratory field trips at the SC DNA Learning Center in genetics/biotechnology for middle and high school students.
One-week summer camps for middle and high school students.
Instructional workshops and training for teachers and non-formal educators.
Pre- and in-service methods courses for teachers.
Graduate credit courses in genetics and in biotechnology for in-service teachers and non-formal educators.
Distance education versions of our courses to be delivered via the Internet or telecommunication.
Classroom materials to support genetics activities.
Non-formal education genetics activities for the public.
Student research in genetics and biotechnology.
An Internet site for SC with web-based resources developed by the South Carolina DNA Learning Center.
