organic farmThe Clemson Calhoun Fields Student Organic Farm (SOF) has been designed to create synergy and harmony between farm elements. The SOF project is devoted tothe demonstration of sustainable farming practices and the production of organically grown crops including seasonal vegetables and fruits, herbs and cut flowers.


There are approximately five acres of certified land in production at the farm comprised of annual and perennial crop areas, edible and medicinal landscape installations, passive solar greenhouse and high tunnel production areas, cover crops and a network of rainwater diversion and aquaculture ponds.


If you are interested in knowing more about the production practices and the farm scale permaculture system currently in place at the Student Organic Farm, please join farm manager, Shawn Jadrnicek, for this informative tour.




The tour is $10 per person. Children 12 and under may attend the tour free of charge.

We would like you to feel free to stay and enjoy the farm after the tour. There is a covered pavilion to escape from the sun and bathroom and hand washing facilities available. Picnics are encouraged!
