General Information
Presenters must:

Follow all submission guidelines for consideration

Submit abstract by 5pm on June 30th. Selected presenters will be notified by July 5th.

Be prepared to attend both Monday & Tuesday
Monetary prizes will be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each competition.
Lodging will be provided for the night of August 19th for graduate students selected to present in either the 3MT or poster competition who do not reside in the Clemson area.
If you need to withdraw your 3MT or Poster presentation, please let us know as soon as possible and before August 14th.

3MT
Your abstract has been accepted for 3MT presentation, now what?

Practice, practice, practice!

Presentations are limited to three minutes maximum, and competitors exceeding three minutes are disqualified.

No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.

Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs)

Develop one PowerPoint slide that you will use for your presentation and upload it here
-
A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted. No slide transitions or animations are allowed

No additional embedded electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted.

Label your file with your "Last Name First Name" and upload by 5pm on Wednesday, August 14th

Poster
Your abstract has been accepted for Poster presentation, now what?

Text and illustrations should be comfortably read from a distance of 3 feet, so make them large enough to be seen clearly.

Plan to print your poster at least one week before the event. Work with your advisor to proofread and practice presenting.

At the Symposium
-
Each poster will be given a number and allotted a space 3′ wide x 4′ high (Portrait). The spaces will be numbered ahead of time so that you will know where to place your poster.

When judges approach you, you will have up to 3 minutes to present your work and up to 2 minutes to answer questions the judges may ask. If you are not at the poster when the judges come, you will be disqualified from the competition.

You will have three judges and they may approach you as a group or individually. In other words, you may have to present up to three separate times.
