What to Expect

We will live together for six days in two large casitas with private rooms. Each day the workshop will include lectures, field experiences, and discussions. In the evenings, we will enjoy traditional Puerto Rican food and learn about local culture, ecology, and history.
Science graduate students will have the opportunity to be introduced to photography and drawing techniques from artist Todd Anderson. Art students will have the opportunity to learn ecological field techniques such as collecting specimens from scientist Gary Machlis.
Together, we will develop skills of art and science collaboration. In addition, the workshop offers ample opportunities for one-on-one consultations on individuals’ graduate projects and career paths.
