Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) Pesticide Applicator Exam Equivalency

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has evaluated the CCA program and believes it is sufficient to meet or exceed the competency standards required by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act in certain categories of pesticide application. Therefore, anyone who is a CCA in good standing is qualified to receive a pesticide license in the areas listed below without taking the otherwise required competency examinations. The areas are:

1. Private Applicator

2. Pesticide Dealer

3. Commercial Applicator in one of the following categories:

Category 1 Agricultural Pest Control
Category 3 Ornamental & Turf Pest Control
Category 10 Demonstration & Research Pest Control

All other requirements must be met including completing the application forms, paying the fee, and for commercial applicators, obtaining the required insurance.
