Pesticide Safety Education Program

The objective of the Pesticide Safety Education Program at Clemson University is to help assure the proper, effective, and safe use, storage and disposal of pesticides with emphasis being placed on personal safety, protection of the environment, prevention of pesticide drift, endangered species protection, water quality, and food safety. The Pesticide Coordinator in South Carolina provides assistance to both private and commercial/noncommercial applicators in meeting the initial and continuing standards of certification to apply restricted use pesticides without the adverse risks associated with pesticide misuse.
