Day 53 | February 22, 2014

During the war, Katie and Millie Dees did their part to help solve the farm labor problem in Chesterfield county (1945).

Victory Farm Volunteers

Today, Volunteers are essential to the success of the 4-H program. All registered adult 4-H volunteers working directly with 4-H youth in South Carolina complete a screening process and receive training at no cost to themselves. Teens may also serve in volunteer roles through the 4-H Teen Leadership project.

To become a volunteer, talk to an agent located in one of the 46 counties or visit one of the program websites like the 4-H, the SC Master Gardener or the South Carolina Botanical Garden.
