Internship programs

I would like to obtain an internship.  What's Next?

Getting Started:

Check with your department to see if you can receive departmental credit for an internship and to clarify if it is a requirement for your major.  (see department links below).

Make an appointment with Paula Beecher in the WB Bookhart Student Services Center, F153 P&A or email and find out what tools and resources Clemson University provides to help you in this process.

Do I have to register for a class to do an internship?

No, many students will do internships for the experience not necessarily just for academic credit.

Why should I do an internship?

Many employers are not as interested in the major you are enrolled in as the experiences you obtain while in college.  Internships are  a great way to get that experience.  Many students will make contacts through their internships that lead to full time career opportunities!

When can I do an internship?

Internship opportunities vary by major and interest but many are available as early as the summer after your freshman year!  Come by the student services center, we are happy to help you get started and explore opportunities available for you.
