The event included: horse bowl, hippology, horse judging and communication contests. Bishop competed in communications, giving a 12-minute individual visual presentation in equine bits. She received a $500 scholarship from the American Quarter Horse Association as well a trophy from the North American International Livestock Exposition. She also received a trophy, which was sponsored by the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association. Fae Herbert is Bishop’s volunteer 4-H leader and coach. Herbert has more than 30 years experience as a volunteer in the Virgina 4-H horse program prior to retiring to South Carolina.
