This year the retreat’s activities include various dairy industry professionals who address topics such as mastitis, reproduction, and dairy foods. Additionally, the attendees will be touring dairies across the state. This year a focus will be on dairy evaluation and exhibition, with daily workshops on judging. Youth from seven different southeastern states (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky) will be in attendance. The events planned over this week will provide the youth a fun environment to learn about and become involved with the dairy industry, all while building team work skills and making lasting friendships.
