4-H2O camp engages youth in hands-on activities where they are exploring the outdoor world and studying their local watershed. Each day youth will learn about components that make up a watershed through science lessons, scientific equipment, and water quality testing. We bring in guest speakers to teach about the lake systems or environmental careers, we get in local creeks to study macroinvertebrates and water life, and we learn about responsible water recreations (we swim and boat!)
Camp is held at Twin Lakes Recreation Area on beautiful Lake Hartwell as well as the SC Botanical Gardens on the Clemson University Campus.
Camp is limited to the first 18 campers to complete registration (form & fees) at the Anderson County Clemson Extension office. Registration is currently open.
Camp spots are secured when completed (form & fee) registration has been received by the Anderson County Clemson Extension Service.
Lunch, snacks, drinks, program supplies and materials will be provided
Please do NOT bring:
Campers must be dropped off and picked up on time each day. Campers also must have breakfast before they arrive. We are busy and active and they will need energy for all day activities!
If your child has special needs, allergies, or other considerations please contact the 4-H agent BEFORE camp starts so we are aware and prepared.
