4-H2O Exploring Lake Murray

Activities & Skills

Come and discover the treasures of Lake Murray!  Students will spend their days on and around Lake Murray, fishing, swimming, and exploring.  Two days will be spent on pontoon boats, including a tour of a water treatment plant, and a visit to the Coast Guard Auxillary Station. Learn the history of Lake Murray, find out what a watershed is, study water quality and get up close and personal with fish and aquatic critters.

Monday-Friday, June 24-28, 2013
8:30-4:30 daily
SCE&G Recreation Area on Lake Murray

Tuition: $100 if received before June 10 ($120 after June 10)

You should also know...

• Youth will swim every day, and should bring swim suit and towel
• Youth should wear clothes suitable for the outdoors
• Shoes must be worn while swimming, and must be ones that will stay on their feet
• Youth need to bring a lunch each day.  Lunches must have ice packs or not need to be refrigerated. We will provide beverages and a snack each day
• Youth should be prepared to be outdoors in warm weather, including hat and sunscreen

• Registration limited to 20 participants
• Pre-registration is required
• Registration is taken on a first come, first served basis
