LEGISLATIVE CONTACT POLICY

The role of Extension is education. Our role with members of the State General Assembly and Federal Delegation should also be of this nature. Extension employees should provide information on accountability, program need, program delivery, and items needed for better decision making. Extension staff should be in a position to explain and defend the PSA budget. Extension staff should not solicit budgetary consideration for items or programs not outlined in the PSA budget, nor in other proposals previously approved by the administration.
