December 12-14, 2011

Please join us for the Public Service and Agriculture Extension Conference to be held at the Madren Conference Center, December 12-14, 2011.  Complete registration information can be found on this website.   The planning committee is preparing an interesting and informative program.  The conference objectives are:

  1. To provide opportunities for employees to receive professonal development training.
  2. To provide training opportunities for employees to strengthen their subject matter expertise in their assigned program areas.
  3. To develop an appreciation for entrepreneurship and learn fundamental entrepreneurial strategies such as identifying new sources of revenue, new opportunities for engagement, and creating program and public value.

Every Extension employee with program delivery responsibilities is expected to attend this conference.  Exceptions due to conflicts should be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor and communicated to the office of the Extension Chief Operating Officer.  County Administrative Assistants and paraprofessionals are not required to attend this conference.

The conference is designed to provide an Extension focus with an opportunity for Research and Regulatory interaction.  Research faculty and Extension specialists are encouraged to participate in the training and discussions with their respective Extension teams.

Individuals attending are asked to carpool and share hotel rooms to reduce cost.  Please follow the registration instructions contained under “Conference Registration.”

Everyone is looking forward to a successful conference.  We look forward to seeing you in December.
