4-H Legislative Day
The 4-H Legislative Day is sponsored by State 4-H Teen Council along with a delegation of 4-H members at large selected by Region. Youth observe
the Legislature and Senate in action, meet with
their own legislators, senators and the governor.
To become a youth delegate, 4-H members must submit a letter to their county agent including the following information:
- Why you would be a good candidate
- What you hope to gain or learn from 4-H Legislative Day
- Describe plans for taking what you learn on Legislative Day back to your county
Bamberg and Barnwell County delegates must submit letters to Shannon Herndon by 4:30 on February 27. Fax 803-245-2170 or email to sbhrndn@clemson.edu. All other counties please submit to your local 4-H agent. Teen Council will select the delegates.

12:00 Recognized at 4-H members in House of Representatives and Senate
1:00 Lunch at Capitol City Club
2:00 Tour State House
