4-H Livestock Judging

Livestock Judging Clinic - March 23, 2013

North Carolina 4-H is offering an educational clinic for youth interested in participating in livestock judging events. For all experience levels from beginners to experts. We will break the kids into groups depending on experience levels. This event will be March 23, 2013 at the Mountain State Fairgrounds in Fletcher NC. Registrations are due March 8, 2013.

State Livestock Judging Contest - April 6, 2013

Livestock Judging is making a careful analysis of animals or carcasses and measuring them against a standard. Four Steps involved in judging are: information, observation, comparison and conclusion. 4-H & FFA State Contest is held at T. Ed Garrison Arena in Pendleton.
