deerars.jpgEvery Tuesday morning in June, 4-H, Barnwell Soil & Water Conservation District, and Barnwell State Park, will offer youth ages 5-12 a nature program. Particpants will use resources at the park to bring to life the topic of the day. Hands on activities and projects will encourage youth to appreciate our natural resources.  

June 5 - Busy, Buzzy Bees

Learn all about bees with a SC Beekeeper and an observation hive. Learn how important these creature are to farmers, how they pollinate and make honey. Make a honeycomb candle. Barnwell County FFA will assist.

 

June 12 - GPS in the Woods

Learn how to use GPS, Global Positioning System, while learning about trees. Make a leaf cast. Presented by Barnwell County Career Center FFA.

 

June 19- Sounds in the Forest

Ever wonder how many sights and sounds are in the forest? Explore the nature trail, identify plants and animals, make a rainstick. Lessons led by Bamberg and Barnwell Soil & Water Conservation Districts.
