Poultry Project

• Youth ages 5-19
• Project enrollment $10 for members/$20 for non members
• Registration deadline - May 1
• Provide quality care of your own chicken
• Complete a 4-H Poultry Project Book
• Poultry Showmanship Clinic - August 24,  Orangeburg Fairgrounds
• 4-H Poultry Show and Project Book Interview - October 5, Orangeburg Fair

Pullet Chain

• youth ages 9-19
• Registration Deadline - February 28/extended until March 15
• Care for 10-25 pullets
• Cost $30-$60 for members/additional $10 fee for non-members
• Hampton Pullet Chain Show and Sale - November 2013
• Complete poultry project book

Youth can participate in the 4-H Pullet Chain. Participants will receive and raise 10 or 25 day old pullet chicks until they are 20 weeks of age.  A deposit is required for pullets which is returned when five pullets are returned for the Pullet Judging Show and Sale Event held in the fall.
