Become A Volunteer… inspire the next generation!

4H Volunteers are instrumental in inspiring the next generation!  4H programs rely on volunteers to help young people learn the skills needed to master life’s challenges and to prepare for careers in the 21st century, all while having fun.

As a 4H Volunteer you can decide your level of involvement based on your skills and time available.  You can lead youth within school-based, afterschool or community clubs; work with other adults to create fun, new programs or develop community service opportunities for youth.  You can also share your vocational expertise and talents by leading a project based club.

To become a 4H volunteer contact the Fairfield County 4H Agent, Margaret Doty, by phone at (803)635-4722 ext.112 or by e-mail at mdoty@clemson.edu.  All adult volunteers working directly with 4H youth in South Carolina complete a screening process and receive training at no cost.

Have an idea for a new club?  Let’s get started!

South Carolina 4H offers a wide variety of curriculum. If you can think of it 4H has it. Agriculture, Natural Resources, Science, Engineering, Healthy Lifestyles, Food Science, Personal Development, Performing Arts and Citizenship… the list goes on and on!  Children who participate in 4H clubs are given the opportunity to develop and exercise personal responsibility and character skills.  4H clubs also offer the opportunity for students to contribute to their community.  So let’s get started.  Organize a group of at least 5 friends and give Fairfield 4H a call at (803)635-4722 ext. 122 or e-mail us at  mdoty@clemson.edu
