Sewing Camp

 

Ages 7-18

Cost 

The camp will offer two program tracks, one for the beginning sewers and one for intermediate sewers. The cost includes all program supplies and a morning snack. Beginning sewers will learn how to thread sewing machines, press seams and work on basic projects. Intermediate sewers will review basic skills and then complete more advanced projects while adding to their sewing abilities. Camp participants need to be able to listen and follow directions well. Please bring a sewing machine if you have one available. The camp is limited to 15 participants so register early.

4-H2O Day Camp

Ages 8-12

Cost

Lake Keowee and local streams serve as the classroom for this water resources program. Youth collect water samples, observe microscopic and macroscopic life, conduct water quality experiments, and explore tributary streams. Not only do the participants learn about enhancing and preserving the intricacies of the aquatic ecosystem, they also learn about the basics techniques of fishing, bait crafting, and orienteering.

Culinary Cooking Clovers Camp

 

Ages 13-16

This 4-H day camp is for young people aged 13-16 years that are interested in the culinary field. No prior experience is needed to attend this camp. The program will be taught by Chef Robin Porter from Atlanta. She will cover three ethnic cuisines and the skills needed to prepare each.

4-H Wild Days Camp

 

Ages 9-12

Piedmont Forestry Center, Salem, SC

This camp is an overnight camp designed for youth who are interested in EVERYTHING outdoors! Youth will be able to learn about and experience: shooting sports, wildlife management, forestry techniques, outdoor recreation, swimming, fishing, and hiking.
