Time to Sign-up for the 2010 Livestock Show and Sale

In this project, youth ages 5 to 19 obtain a feeder pig in January, raise it for around three months and show the finished hog at the annual Livestock Show and Sale.  Prize money, trophies and ribbons will be awarded.

The wigh-in will be held on Thursday, January 7 from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Floyd Johnson Technical Center, 1010 Devinney Road, York, and the show will be hld on Saturday, April 10, 2010.  These dates are tentative.

We are pleased that we have found a local vendor for pigs.  The final cost will depend on the weight of the pigs and the pigs will be distributed by a draw.  Participants can purchase their pig independently of the Extenson Service.

You must preregister to participate in this project by November 15.  The United Way of York County is our show sponsor.
