Responsibilities:
Fruit Disease Management, 60% Research and 40% Extension
Research interest:
Integrated management of diseases affecting peach trees and peach fruit, including brown rot, Armillaria root rot, and peach scab. Current projects are: (i) Management and molecular basis of fungicide resistance in Monilinia fructicola; (ii) development of transgenic rootstocks for peach exhibiting disease and nematode resistance; (iii) investigation of biocontrol agents (Trichoderma species), root collar excavation, and fungicide injections for Armillaria root rot control
