Following the indoor sessions, we will go to the field to look at research projects, variety trials and continue discussions.

The field research tours will include  

  • Squash Bug, Spider Mites and IPM - Dr. Powell Smith
  • Sensor Irrigation State Wide Project - Gilbert Miller
  • Fusarium in Watermelons -Dr. Tony Keinath & Dr. Richard Hassel
  • Field Day Watemelon and Melon trial with 51 different varieties.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Pesticide License credits will be offered.

Following the field tour we will return to the EREC office complex for cold watermelons, lunch, and further discussion.
