This Month in Your Garden
Welcome to This Month in Your Garden, a site designed to help South Carolina residents recognize pest problems in the garden and landscape on a month-by-month basis. A list of "cultural tips" is also included to remind you of the right month for performing a particular gardening activity, such as fertilizing your centipedegrass lawn or pruning your crape myrtle.
Each month as you become more knowledgeable about the harmful and beneficial inhabitants of your landscape, we hope that gardening will continue to be an exciting, educational adventure.

The photographs and accompanying text in this web site were adapted from an Extension IPM-funded project that was designed to educate consumers at garden centers and nurseries with educational display units. The project entitled Using 'This Month in Your Garden' Informational Display Units in Garden Centers to Educate Consumers About IPM in the Garden and Landscape was conceived by Paul Thompson, Horticulture Extension Agent in Berkeley and Dorchester counties, and implemented with Bob Polomski.
