Anchor Bug

Anchor bugs are beneficial predators that feed on plant pests such as aphids, beetle larvae (Mexican bean beetle larva in photo), caterpillars, and other soft-bodied insects. Besides the orange and black coloring, you can easily identify an anchor bug by the obvious orange "anchor" on its back.
