Ground Beetle

This insect lives in the ground litter and remains hidden most of the time. These beetles are usually black with slightly flattened bodies. Their legs are typically long and reddish-brown. Generally, a ground beetle will eat any insect that dares to cross its path. On warm summer evenings many of these will be attracted to lights. They are fast runners.

Control: Controls are not necessary.
