Honeybee

honey beeAside from providing us with honey, honeybees are our number one pollinator. Without their help, we would not have some of our fruit, vegetable, forage, and seed crops. Although other insects pollinate flowers, none are as thorough and dependable as the honeybee.

Control: Controls are not necessary. Be aware that many pesticides are highly toxic to honeybees, including acephate (ORTHENE) and carbaryl (SEVIN 80S). If you choose to use pesticides, apply them early in the morning or late in the evening when the honeybees are not foraging.
