Orangeburg County Master Gardener Volunteer Projects

 

The Orangeburg County Master Gardeners are very involved in their towns and communities.  The following is a list of various volunteer projects the Orangeburg County Master Gardeners have done to meet their 40-hour volunteer commitment:

  • Landscape work at the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, and The Oaks
  • Plan and conduct educational seminars and lectures
  • Set up and run a gardening resource center at the Clemson Extension Office
  • Deliver garden club talks
  • Information booth at the Springfield Frog Jump, Orangeburg County Fair, and Orangeburg Festival of Roses
  • Create a newsletter
  • Design and maintain town, city, and community entrance signs
  • Work with in-school 4H groups
