About the Course

Forest regeneration is negatively impacted by competing vegetation and invasive species. This competition can limit a landowners abilty to manage timber for income and other management objectives. Forest herbicides offer an alternative to other forest management options. However, selecting the appropriate herbicide prescrption is critical for biological and economic reasons. This workshop will provide attendees with information on safe handling techniques, selection of adjuvants, aquatic vegetation control, use of herbicides in site prepration and release operations, control of invasive species, equipment calibration and up-to-date information on available products.
