ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Wildlife Habitat Considerations in Managed Forests workshop is designed for foresters, biologists, landowners and land managers who are interested in learning more about managing forests for wildlife.  This 3-day workshop is designed to provide in-depth knowledge on land management practices and techniques that improve wildlife habitat such as the use of herbicides, prescribed fire, select silvicultural techniques, as well as other wildlife habitat improvement considerations. The first day of the workshop is devoted to a field tour of a variety of management techniques as well as learning how to identify important tree, shrub, grass and forb species important to wildlife on the Clemson Experimental Forest.

REGISTRATION

An early-bird registration is $60 per person prior to May 9, 2012 and includes access to activities on all 3 days, lunch and breaks each day and a welcome dinner on Tuesday evening. After this date registration is $70. To register online, click here.

CANCELLATION

Cancellation of registration must be made 7 days in advance to obtain a full refund. Refunds after that date will be subject to a $50 service charge. Refunds will not be given 3 days prior to the workshop. If cancellation becomes necessary, substitution in lieu of cancellation is recommended. For cancellation please call 864-656-0606. Should Clemson University cancel this course for any reason, a full refund of registration will be made. Clemson University will not be responsible for any other costs the registrant may incur. For refunds paid by check, the registrant must provide a social security number or Federal Tax ID, if paid on company funds.
