Federal income tax laws, regulations, and court precedents change on an annual basis. Staying aware of these changes can be challenging. This workshop is designed to provide participants with the information needed to advise clients on tax strategies and implications.
Foresters, Certified Public Accountants, land owners and land managers would benefit from attending this workshop. However, some working knowledge of general taxation is assumed.

The fee for the workshop is $225 if received by November 16, 2011. After this date, registration will be $275. Workshop materials will be distributed during the registration period. Lunch and breaks will be provided.
The workshop will be held at the Sandhill Research and Education Center - Lakehouse located at 900 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
Cancellation of registration must be made 7 days in advance to obtain a full refund. Refunds after that date will be subject to a $50 service charge. Refunds will not be given 3 days prior to the workshop. If cancellation becomes necessary, substitution in lieu of cancellation is recommended. For cancellation please call 864-656-0606. Dr. Harry L. Haney, Jr. specializes as a consultant on forest management focusing on income tax, estate planning and financial analysis. He is an adjunct professor at Clemson University and Garland Gray Emeritus Professor, Department of Forestry, College of Natural Resources at Virginia Tech, where he served on the faculty for over 28 years. Dr. Haney's research focuses on the management of non-industrial family forests with his current research on timber income and estate taxes; forest valuation; and conservation easements. Previous research also examined local foretry laws, ordinances and regulations. He manages his own tree farm with Jacqueline, his wife, and J. Lee Haney, Esq., his daughter.
