Mr. Bean is the Forestry and Natural Resources Area Extension Agent for the Midlands Region.  He is responsible for providing programming related to both forestry and natural resources primarily in Kershaw and Fairfield Counties but also works in Chesterfield, Lee and Sumter Counties  His area of expertise is general forest management.

Mr. Phinney is a Forestry and Natural Resources Area Extension Agent providing programming for the Lowcountry Region.  His experiences include working with private landowners and industry in forest management, timber sales, reforestation, prescribed burning, forestry cost share programs, GPS, GIS mapping, and threatened and endangered species assessments.  He also has a vast background in freshwater wetlands and critical area determination and verification, restoration of freshwater wetlands and critical areas, environmental permitting and storm water monitoring.  He covers Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Colleton, Bamberg, Barnwell, Allendale, Hampton, Jasper and Beaufort Counties.

His areas of expertise are production forestry, wildlife management, wildlife food plots, shooting sports, and hunting/fishing.  He covers Edgefield and Saluda Counties.

Mr. Powell's resposibilities are as follows: Fulfill Carolina Clear Contracts with municipalities in Horry and Georgetown Counties who are regulated by the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Phase II general permit, coordinate education and public involvement programs regarding surface water resources, work in concert with other educators in the region as a member of the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium (click here for more information on the consortium), assist with coordination of other statewide initiatives in Natural Resources such as Master Naturalist, Master Tree Farmer, and Master Wildlifer, and inform citizens in service area regarding topics such as wildlife conservation, nuisance wildlife control, pond management, aquaculture, water quality/quantity, and other natural resource related topics. His areas of expertise include Entomology, Aquatic/Wetland Ecology, Aquatic/Wetland Plant Identification, Macroinvertebrate Bioassessment, Marine invertebrates, Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector, and stormwater best management practices. He covers Horry and Georgetown Counties.

Mr. Savereno's responsibilities include natural resources research and education, as well as management of wildlife, forestry, and other natural resources at the Pee Dee REC.  His interests and areas of experience include:  production of seed of native groundcover plants associated with native ecosystems, promoting Farm Bill wildlife conservation practices, restoration of the longleaf pine ecosystem, and promoting the expanded use of prescribed fire as a management tool.  He serves the public primarily, though not exclusively, in the Pee Dee Region.
