Mentors for First Generation Success Program
Mentoring provides a great opportunity to learn from older students who have had similar experiences. FIRST participants are paired with a thriving upperclass mentor in the same field of study. Mentors are also students who are the first in their family to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
Your mentor will meet with you weekly to give you support, encouragement and advice about the Clemson experience. A mentor can give you the scoop about a class or help you out with a roommate issue. Mentoring groups also give you an instant group of friends on campus.
Become a Mentor
FIRST students can apply to be a mentor for their third year on campus.
