Mission Statement

(MTS) will continually update its personnel training and equipment to provide the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences with the best technical services available.
Our 2-5 year goals include increasing training and capabilities in the 3-D modeling and machining areas and cross-training several key personnel in order to improve our response time on projects that require the use of specialty equipment.

Operations Format

MTS customers must print out and complete a work request and obtain proper signatures before submission.  Our service goal is to provide the customer with a two-week turnaround time on projects with less than ten hours of duration. We do offer an accelerated next-day service at a premium rate for small projects (at Manager's discretion).

Our billing rates are published and are as follows for the Fiscal year 2022/2023:

  • Design, layout, fabrication of projects: $49 per hour - Internal Charges Only
Design, layout, fabrication of projects: $73.50 per hour - External Charges Only
  • Priority rate (Next day service - <5 hours): $73.50 per hour - Internal Charges Only
Priority rate (Next day service - <5 hours): $110.25 per hour - External Charges Only
  • Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM): $60 per hour - Internal Charges Only
