CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Each member of the University faculty and staff should ensure that situations involving conflict of interest do not occur.  Procurements may not be made from an employee of the University for any goods or services nor may procurements of any goods or services be made from any business (including but not limited to corporations and partnerships) in which a University employee or any family member residing in the same household, either individually or collectively has (have) a majority (over 50%) ownership interest.

Exception to this policy may be made by the Executive Officers of Clemson University (President, Vice Presidents and General Counsel) if the exception is determined by the Executive Officers (collectively) to be in the University's best interest and consistent with all ethics and other relevant laws.
