Academic Affairs and the Provost

Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs and Provost
The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is the chief academic officer of the University and acts on behalf of the president in his absence. The Provost Office is responsible for all academic activities at the University. Over 30 units report to the provost, including Clemson’s seven academic colleges, the Graduate School, Undergraduate Studies, and the Libraries.
Prioritizing REAL aspirational targets – Research, Engagement, the Academic core and the Living environment – the Provost Office ensures academic excellence through the implementation of the ClemsonFORWARD Strategic Plan.

Stay current on all the important dates and deadlines concerning regular faculty, board and trustee meetings, appointments, commencement, sabbaticals and other dates for the academic year.

Since fall 2020, workflows for faculty annual evaluations (goals, activity reporting, teaching effectiveness presentations, etc.), and TPR (promotion, tenure, and reappointment) have been administered from one centralized system for the entire campus. Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures) by Watermark is the system we use for all of these workflows.
